February 21, 2018 saw Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosting a meeting with a group of mountain skiers from Catalonia and Andorra, members of Himalaiaski Club, who had made several high-altitude climbs in South Ossetia.


The Minister welcomed the guests, congratulated them with successful implementation of plans and invited the mountaineers and their friends to visit South Ossetia in summer. Alongside with this the Minister expressed hope that the number of tourists coming to South Ossetia would increase.

In their turn, the guests thanked the Minister and the people of South Ossetia for the warm reception, shared the impressions about the South Ossetian ski slopes and expressed hope that more people not only from Spain and Andorra, but also from other European states would visit South Ossetia.

In conclusion of the meeting the Minister presented the guests with the national flag of the Republic of South Ossetia.
