On November 23, during a working visit to the Italian Republic in the city of Pesaro, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev met with the Secretary of the National Association of Italian Anti-Fascist Partisans (ANPI) Milena Rossi and the head of the Council of Veterans of the organization Luciano Tribbi.
The meeting discussed issues of the fight against neo-fascism. Dmitrii Medoev drew attention to the unacceptable facts of distortion of the history of World War II, which have been observed recently, and called for the unification of efforts of all healthy forces against these negative trends.
The Minister also noted the symbolism of the meeting held on the day when South Ossetia marks the anniversary of the beginning of the resistance movement of the Ossetian people against Georgian fascism in 1989.
The meeting was held in an open and sincere atmosphere.
D. Medoev is accompanied on the trip by the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in Italy Mauro Murgia.
ANPI, an association founded by members of the Italian resistance against the Italian fascist regime and the subsequent Nazi occupation during World War II I Rome in 1994, has survived thanks to the activity of its anti-fascist members.
